Average Days for a Home to be on the Market Drops to 69

According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), this number of days for a home to be on the market dropped down to 69 from an average of 98 days in July of 2011.  That means that the average number of days for a home to be on the market is down almost 30% from last year; homes are selling faster.

For reference, during the housing market recession, average homes took over 10 weeks to sell, versus less than six weeks now.

The market seems to be looking up for sellers, so now is the time to contact a real estate agent and get the ball rolling!
