Things To Do In Northeast Ohio – June 2014

It’s the best time of the year in Northeast Ohio, so take advantage of the weather and all of the great things available to you in the area this month. No matter what you’re looking for, you will have no trouble finding it in and around your town. Here are five things going on near you this month.

2nd Annual Run the Rock

When: June 1

Admission: $15

Calling all runners – this one is definitely for you. Make your way out to the Castalia Quarry MetroPark for this second annual event. Not a runner? Not a problem, come out anyway and cheer on the runners participating in the race.

Ballet in the Vineyard

When: June 1

Admission: Free

Gather your friends and (adult) family and head out to Gervasi Vineyard for some wine and fun. While there you can take a leisurely stroll to enjoy a performance by the Stabrova Youth Ballet Company.

An Evening of Civil War Music with Steve Ball

When: June 5

Admission: $20 – $25

Make your way out to the museum in Stark County for a concert featuring Civil War music. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Ida McKinley Tiara Fund. Mr. Ball will also display his collection of pre-Civil War guitars and original sheet music.

Rockin’ on the River

When: June 6

Admission: Free

Grab a group of friends and head out to Falls River Square in Cuyahoga Falls for a night of music and fun like no other. Velvet Shake will be the opening number, followed by Draw the Line. Parking and admission are free.

3rd Annual Mahoning Riverfest

When: June 7

Admission: Free

This event is free to attend and will be fun for the whole family. Head out to The B&O Station in Mahoning County, there will be kayak and canoe rides, as well as kids activities and crafts throughout the whole day.
